Don't get too close

Kadionn- One of my nimravid characters. (Nimravids are extinct predators closely resembling true cats.)

This was a pretty quick piece. It took maybe a couple of hours. I was practicing a few of the new techniques I learned from all of the amazing tutorials that has shared with me! (If you want to have a look, they are all in my Favorites under the "Great Art Resources" folder.) I think the things I am learning will help me make better art more efficiently. I've been gathering lots and lots of little, tiny things that add up. This is no masterpiece by any means, but it is evidence of my learning. I felt the need to have a quick practice session to experiment before I tried anything untested on something more important.
I've drawn this kitty many times before, but this is a slight change to the color scheme of the character to be a bit more realistic.

I heard a song today and it immediately made me think of Kadionn, so that is who I drew. Anyway:
